Day 1

We depart for Cumbria, making comfort stops en route and arriving late afternoon at the Grand Hotel, with tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival.

Day 2

Spend the morning in Ambleside, exploring its independent shops, cosy cafes, and historic landmarks. In the afternoon, visit the charming village of Grasmere, famed for its delicious gingerbread and literary connections to poet William Wordsworth.

Begin the day in Kendal, a vibrant market town known for its mint cake, historic castles, and eclectic museums. After lunch, head to Bowness-on-Windermere, a bustling lakeside town with plenty of attractions, from boat rides to boutique shopping.

After a leisurely breakfast, travel to Penrith, where you’ll have time to browse local shops and take in the quaint atmosphere. Later, visit Keswick, the “capital of the North Lakes,” with free time to stroll along Derwentwater or explore the town’s unique attractions.
