Day 1

We set off for Staffordshire, checking in at Hilton Garden Inn in the afternoon, with welcome tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival.

Day 2

This morning we’ll drive to the city of Lichfield, where you can enjoy lunch at leisure and explore this historic city. Lichfield Cathedral is a must-visit, with over 800 years of history! This afternoon we’ll visit the National Memorial Arboretum – a mature woodland landscape with 25,000 trees and a large collection of memorials to explore across 150-acres.

Day 3

Our first visit today takes us to National Trust’s Little Moreton Hall – a beautiful Tudor treasure surrounded by a moat and a pretty garden. Don’t miss the topsy-turvy long gallery! This afternoon, we’ll visit Rudyard Lake with a 3-mile return ride on the miniature railway.

Day 4

This morning you’ll have the chance to discover the award-winning Trentham Gardens, where you’ll find a shopping village filled with shops, cafes and restaurants and Trentham Garden Centre. Enjoy some free time here to explore and grab lunch. This afternoon, we’ll head to Blyth Bridge and experience a ride on the Foxfield Light Railway. Originally used to carry coal from Foxfield Colliery, the line is now very popular for steam trips into the countryside.

We depart the hotel after breakfast, making our way home with comfort stops en route.
