Enjoy a Scenic River Cruise to the Historic Mapledurham Estate

Join us on a 90 minute cruise from Caversham Pier through twists and turns to Mapledurham Lock and Weir. This is the river as it should be, tranquil and stunning in Wind in the Willows Country.

We enjoy some free time in Reading for the lunch period before we make our way by coach to Caversham Pier to board the boat.

This trip trip takes you to Mapledurham Lock, which feels a world away from life in Reading. Following the Thames upstream, you will see wildlife, open countryside, islands and look out towards the Berkshire Downs.

The cruise will turn* at Mapledurham Lock taking a panoramic view of the weir, before cruising back downstream past Mapledurham House towards Reading.

Plenty of time to relax, spot wildfowl and enjoy the Thames.

*Very occasionally when the river is in flood and there is an extra strong stream this cruise will cruise towards Mapledurham but may have to turn prior to the weir and lock.
